Jason Snead, Executive Director of Honest Elections Project:

“Today, a New York judge struck down New York City’s fringe new law allowing 800,000 noncitizens to vote. According to the judge, the New York State Constitution plainly says that only ‘citizens’ of New York State who meet age and residency requirements can register and vote. The public overwhelmingly agrees that only Americans should vote in American elections. I applaud the court for upholding the rule of law and defending the rights of the voters of New York.”
